CORY KAHANEY

Star of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”

“Comedy Central Presents” Cory Kahaney’s own Hour Special

Voted Best Comedian in NYC by Backstage Magazine

As a divorced single mom, Cory looked forward to getting her precocious teenage daughter off to college. In fact the plan was to move and change her phone number right after she dropped the kid at the dorm. Cory never expected to meet a guy, remarry and surprise, get knocked up! Now Cory has a husband (who knew), a kid starting her junior year and a “Ripley’s believe it or not baby boy!

You probably know Cory best as one of the final five from “Last Comic Standing” (NBC). This spring she had her own stand-up special “Comedy Central Presents” and she’s a regular on “Tough Crowd” with Colin Quinn (Comedy Central). Cory’s been seen on Joy’s corner on “The View” (ABC), “Last Call” with Carson Daly (NBC) and multiple appearances of “Politically Incorrect” with Bill Maher and appearances on Craig Fergunson.

She was featured in the 2001 & 2008 “Just for Laughs” festival in Montreal and the 2009 Halifax Comedy Festival.  Her one-person show “Having it all and other Myths” was later produced as a half hour special for HBO, which lead to development deals with Warner Brothers and CBS. Cory returned again in 2000 to the Aspen Comedy Arts Festival as a featured stand up.

Member of the New York Friars Club, Cory was part of their tributes to both Buddy Hackett and Sid Caesar at the Danny Kaye Playhouse. She also appeared in the Broadway-bound musical Funny Business at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

You can always catch Cory in New York City at Caroline’s. The Comic Strip, Stand-Up NY, and The Gotham Comedy Club.
